Job Description
Registered Nurse - Judd Cancer Center (full time)
Assumes responsibility for the careful administration of chemotherapeutic drugs under the supervision of the physician. Provides patient teaching and educational programs for the patients and staff. The nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in Cancer Center. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective to the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirement relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed. Current license as a registered professional nurse in the State of Georgia. Two years experience in nursing with expertise in intravenous administration is preferred. Chemotherapy certification required. FT, M-F day shift. Position is located in Dalton, Georgia.
