Trauma Nurse Coordinator
Summary: The Trauma Nurse Coordinator (TNC) works in concert with the Associate Medical Director of Trauma and PVHS Trauma Program Director to coordinate trauma care and systems at Poudre Valley Hospital. The scope includes maintaining compliance with the rules required for State Designation of a Level III Trauma Center; developing and maintaining an effective trauma performance improvement program utilizing the trauma registry and providing education. The TNC will work closely with the PVHS trauma system staff to meet the needs of a Level III trauma center. This position will interact with patients, family, physicians, nurses and allied health providers within the hospital, and agencies and providers throughout the region and state.
Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) desired. Minimum 2-years recent hospital nursing experience in emergency or critical care required. Trauma program leadership experience desired. Possesses the ability to communicate tactfully with staff, physicians, patients, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Licensure by the Colorado Board of Nursing.
